To help improve your oral health, we can provide fluoride treatments too. Topical fluoride, or the fluoride that is found in many toothpastes, mouth rinses, and in-practice dentistry treatments, has been shown to be just as important in fighting tooth decay as it is in strengthening the teeth. For children under 6 years of age, fluoride becomes incorporated into the development of permanent teeth, making it difficult for acids to demineralize the teeth.

If you or your child is not receiving enough fluoride, Dr. Cash may recommend additional fluoride through an at-home treatment. It is important to remember that while fluoride is important, it is not a replacement for daily flossing and brushing. If you have any questions about how to maintain optimal oral health, please contact our dental office.
